A story from the Sentinel and Enterprise.com said an auto repair shop owner out of Massachusetts said auto repair business is picking up due to the fact people are keeping their vehicles longer. The owner said his customers are spending time and money to make sure they can still drive the older vehicles they are holding onto.
This story comes out after a study was released last week by Polk , a leading global automotive market intelligence firm, stating that the average age of cars and light trucks currently in operation in the U.S. has increased to 10.8 years. With the age of vehicles people are still driving increasing, auto repair shops are keeping busy maintaining these older vehicles.
